Identifying pressing needs for the future since 1994
For almost three decades, world governments have met every year to create a global response to the climate emergency. Since the 1994 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), climate change has gone from being a small issue to a global priority, where every country on earth is bound to “avoid dangerous climate change” and find strategies to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.
The Conference Of the Parties (COP) is the supreme decision-making body under the UNFCCC and this year it will be celebrated in Glasgow from the 31st of October until the 12th of November. COP26 global climate summit in Glasgow in November is seen as crucial if climate change is to be brought under control.
